Angelo Rizzi, PAC
As of 2018, Angelo Rizzi, RPA-C is a member of the Orlin & Cohen Orthopaedic Group along with Dr. James Paci. Prior to joining Orlin & Cohen, Angelo worked alongside Dr. Paci at Stony Brook Orthopaedic Associates for 6 years. Angelo has over 19 years of orthopaedic surgery experience as a PA.
Angelo conducts new and follow-up patient evaluations, provides surgical assistance to Dr. Paci, and administers preventative, nonoperative and postoperative care. Additionally, he provides on field sports medical coverage for several high schools and colleges.
Mr. Rizzi received his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 1999 from The State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. John’s University complemented by advanced classes in Biology at St. Joseph’s College. His prior participation in high school and college athletics and passion for sports led him to pursue a career in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
Angelo is a registered Certified Physician Assistant (RPA-C) and a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and The Physician Assistants Orthopaedic Surgery group. Additionally, Angelo is an allied health member of The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Angelo is a lecturer and Clinical Preceptor in the Stony Brook University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. He sits on the P.A Board Review Faculty and was an advisor and liaison for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stony Brook. His professional interests include sports medicine, disorders of the shoulder, knee and elbow as well as ACL reconstruction, musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections. Angelo takes personal pride in his relationship with his patients and their recovery from start to finish
Angelo currently lives in Eastern Long Island with his wife Holly and two daughters where he donates his time to local high school athletics programs.
